About

The Centre for Applied Health Research (CAHR) is a research and evaluation department at St. Joseph’s Care Group (SJCG). CAHR conducts high-quality research and program evaluation, engages in knowledge translation, and supports SJCG in creating new knowledge relevant to Long-Term Care, Mental Health & Addictions, and Rehabilitative Care.

Through its research and evaluation initiatives, CAHR collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, including academic institutions, healthcare organizations, and community partners in Northwestern Ontario. These partnerships drive broader system change by generating and applying evidence that improves people-centred care across SJCG.
