2021 Showcase of Health Research: Registration for Virtual Event Now Open!

For the past 15 years, the Centre for Applied Health Research at St. Joseph’s Care Group has been pleased to host the Showcase of Health Research, the premier annual venue for the dissemination of research relevant to the health of Northwestern Ontarians. Given COVID-19 best practices, this year’s event will comprise a series of virtual sessions.

Attendance is free, but registration is required for each session you wish to attend.

St. Joseph’s Care Group Awards in Applied Health Research

The St. Joseph’s Care Group (SJCG) Awards in Applied Health Research are available to four full-time graduate students at Lakehead University pursuing research related to the service areas of SJCG. The service areas are: addictions & mental health, rehabilitative care, and seniors’ health. More information can be found at www.sjcg.net. The Awards are administered through the Centre for Applied Health Research (CAHR) at SJCG. Information about the CAHR is available at www.cahr.sjcg.net.

Recipients of the awards must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada, and reside in Thunder Bay during the tenure of the award. They must also be working with a supervisor who is a member of the CAHR.

There are four awards available, each valued at $4000. The awards will be distributed to recipients in installments from September 1, 2020 to August 31, 2021.

2020 Showcase of Health Research: Registration is Now Open

The Centre of Applied Health Research at St. Joseph's Care Group is pleased to host the 2020 Showcase of Health Research on Friday, February 7, 2020 at the Victoria Inn Hotel & Convention Centre. Over 15 years, the Showcase has become the premier annual venue for the dissemination of research relevant to the health of Northwestern Ontarians. The conference features oral and poster presentations by health professionals, students and scientists.
